In the Murshidabad district of West Bengal, Hindu women have come forward with heartbreaking stories of violence and threats. They have alleged that Muslim mobs targeted them and gave them a horrifying choice – either get raped or lose their husbands and children.
One Hindu woman emotionally shared her experience. She said, “They told us – get raped by us and we will spare your husbands and children.” Her words show the fear and helplessness felt by many women in the area.
She added, “This is our situation. What else can I say? How can we go back to our homes now? And where else will we go?” Her voice trembled with pain, describing the trauma her community is going through.
Another woman made similar claims. She said, “They told us to give our izzat (dignity) and they would protect the lives of our husbands and children.” These threats have left many Hindu families in deep fear.
These incidents raise serious concerns about law and order in the region. Many are now asking whether the state government is doing enough to protect innocent people, especially women and children.
Local authorities must act quickly. Justice should be given to those who are suffering. Such cruelty should never be allowed in any part of the country.
