Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently held a conversation with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, revisiting key topics they had previously discussed during their meeting in Washington D.C. earlier this year. The dialogue centered around potential collaborations between India and the United States in cutting-edge sectors such as technology, space exploration, and artificial intelligence.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi shared an update on the interaction. He posted, “Spoke to Elon Musk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year.”
In a follow-up statement, the Prime Minister emphasized India’s commitment to strengthening technological cooperation with the US. He wrote, “We discussed the immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation. India remains committed to advancing our partnerships with the US in these domains.”
This conversation comes at a time when Elon Musk is actively exploring entry into the Indian market. The tech billionaire has long expressed interest in bringing Tesla’s electric vehicles to India — a move seen as significant given the country’s growing focus on sustainable energy and its status as the world’s most populous nation.
Interestingly, Musk currently holds a key position in the US administration, serving as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), underscoring his growing influence in shaping policy and innovation frameworks in the United States.
