- Rahul Gandhi defames India’s Election Commission in the U.S.
- BJP calls him a traitor, cites frustration and failures.
- Faces corruption charges alongside Sonia Gandhi.
Once again, Rahul Gandhi has not stopped defaming India on foreign soil, reinforcing what many now believe: he simply cannot tolerate the success and strength of Indian democracy. This time, his target was the Election Commission – an institution admired worldwide for its impartiality and scale. Speaking in the United States, instead of upholding the dignity of the nation he represents, the Congress leader chose to ridicule and question the credibility of India’s democratic process.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, calling out his consistent anti-India rhetoric, didn’t mince words. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan slammed Gandhi as a “traitor” who, every time he steps foot outside India, eagerly vomits hatred against the nation and its institutions. Pradhan noted how the so-called “crown prince” of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty – a family that once enjoyed unchecked power – appears unable to digest the global appreciation India now receives for its robust and inclusive democracy.
“His frustration is visible,” Pradhan said in a strongly worded post on X. “Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has again questioned the credibility of the Election Commission – and that too while on foreign land. He consistently chooses to insult India and its democratic traditions at international platforms. This behaviour stems from his discomfort with India’s growing global respect and his party’s shrinking relevance in the country.”
The minister didn’t stop there. He added that Gandhi’s bitterness is not just political but personal a manifestation of his repeated electoral failures and the irrelevance of the Congress party in New India.
Echoing this sentiment, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra tore into Gandhi during a press conference. He described Congress’ “Expose BJP Lies” campaign as nothing more than an attempt to shield the tainted legacy of the “ma-beta” duo – Sonia and Rahul Gandhi – both of whom are out on bail in the National Herald corruption case.
“Chor machaye shor – that’s what this campaign really is,” Patra declared. “Imagine the audacity of a man who, along with his mother, is out on bail for misappropriating public property worth crores, standing on a foreign stage and lecturing others about morality and democracy.”
Patra lashed out further, saying, “Rahul Gandhi insults India while abroad and still expects to be taken seriously back home. He has stabbed the country in the back far too many times. If you make a hole in the plate you eat from, you’re not just ungrateful – you’re a traitor.”
He also reminded the public of the ongoing ED chargesheet in the National Herald case and said Rahul’s latest outburst is nothing but a symptom of mounting frustration. “He’s trying to shift the focus away from the corruption he and his family are neck-deep in. But defaming the nation to cover up personal failures is both cowardly and disgraceful.”
In a moment of glaring irony, Patra pointed out how Rahul Gandhi was busy tarnishing India’s image in the US just as American Vice President J.D. Vance was visiting India to strengthen bilateral ties. “Time and again, whether during the 2010 Commonwealth Games or now, Rahul Gandhi finds global stages more suitable for attacking his own country,” he said.
This isn’t a one-off slip. It’s a habit, a pattern – Rahul Gandhi’s repeated betrayal of India’s dignity on foreign platforms. A man who cannot respect his nation while abroad doesn’t deserve to speak for its people at home.
