After Operation Sindoor began on May 7, 2025, temples all over India came together to pray for the safety and success of the Indian Army. From Kedarnath and Badrinath in the north to Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, priests and devotees held special pujas, havans (fire rituals), and prayers between May 7 and May 10.

These rituals were done to support the soldiers, boost their confidence, and pray for India’s victory. In total, 16 major temples performed these special ceremonies, showing how united the country is in standing with its armed forces.

The prayers were filled with devotion, and many people gathered to light lamps, chant mantras, and offer flowers for the well-being of the soldiers guarding the nation. This act of faith and unity brought people together across different states during a critical time for the country.

Telangana Temples Unite in Prayer: Special Poojas Held for Indian Army’s Victory

Special poojas (prayer ceremonies) were held at many temples across Telangana on May 10 to pray for the safety of Indian soldiers during the tense situation after Operation Sindoor. This operation was launched by the Indian Armed Forces in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

These special prayers took place in well-known temples such as:

Sri Kaleshwara Muktheswara Temple
Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple in Karmanghat
Ketaki Sangameshwara Swamy Temple in Zaheerabad
Kala Bhairava Swamy Temple in Hyderabad
Devotees gathered to offer prayers for the success and protection of the Indian Army.

Hill Temples Echo With Prayers for ‘Operation Sindoor’ Victory

Special prayers were held at the famous Pahari Mandir in Ranchi on May 9 for the success of the Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’. Devotees performed Jalabhishek (offering water) and Dudhbhishek (offering milk) on the Shivalinga. People prayed for the bravery and strength of the Indian Army and wished for India’s victory and pride to always stay strong.

Special prayers are being held at the famous Shri Aadya Katyani Shaktipeeth temple in Chhatarpur, Delhi on May 9. Devotees are praying for the safety and victory of the Indian Army.

Varanasi Offers Special Worship for Operation Sindoor’s Success

Special prayers, decorations, and lamp lighting were held at the famous Baba Kaal Bhairav Temple in Varanasi on May 8 for the success of Operation Sindoor and to pray for the safety and victory of Indian soldiers. People paid tribute to the martyrs, and women showed their respect for the Army by taking part in a ‘Sindoor Khela’ ceremony. Civil defense teams also gave emergency training to students.

Karnataka Joins in Prayer: Special Pujas for India’s Victory in Operation Sindoor

On May 8, 2025, a special puja and homa (a fire ritual) were held at the Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple in Bengaluru for the success of the Indian Armed Forces in Operation Sindoor. Special pujas were also held at government-managed temples across Karnataka on the same day. A notice was issued by the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department on May 7, 2025, to organize these prayers.

Temples Across India Hold Special Prayers for the Success of Operation Sindoor

Special pujas were held at several temples in Karnataka on May 8 to pray for the success of the Indian Armed Forces. At the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple on Chamundi Hills in Mysuru, prayers like rudrabhisheka and panchamurtha abhishekha were performed, asking for strength for the soldiers to defeat the enemy.

Special prayers were also offered at Sri Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud to boost the morale of the forces fighting against Pakistani terrorists. In Madikeri, pujas were organized at Omkareshwara Temple and Talacauvery, the birthplace of the Cauvery river, to pray for the success of the Indian military.

Siddhivinayak Temple Hosts Special Puja for the Success of Operation Sindoor

Special prayers and worship were held at Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi on the morning of May 8, 2025, to thank Lord Ganesha for the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. This operation, led by the Indian Army, targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan.

Aarti for Operation Sindoor: Special Worship at Dashashwamedh and Kedar Ghat

At Dashashwamedh and Kedar Ghat, the Gangotri Seva Samiti held a special Aarti of Maa Ganga on the banks of the Ganga on May 8. The prayers were dedicated to the success of Operation Sindoor and the safety of Indian soldiers. Special prayers were offered for the brave soldiers of the Indian Army during the Aarti.

Shaurya Samman Yatra in Silli: A Tribute to Indian Army’s Bravery

People in Silli, Jharkhand, celebrated the success of Operation Sindoor on May 8 by taking out a special Shaurya Samman Shobha Yatra. They offered prayers at the Hanuman temple, waved the tricolor, raised patriotic slogans, and burst firecrackers in honor of the Indian Army.

Pahari Mandir in Ranchi Hosts Special Prayers for Indian Army’s Success

At the historic Pahari Mandir in Ranchi, special prayers were offered on May 8 for the success of the Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’. Young people offered water and milk to the Shivalinga, praying for the Indian Army’s strength and courage. Devotees also prayed for the country’s victory and for the Indian Army’s flag to remain high.

Kedarnath Dham Hosts Special Puja for the Success of ‘Operation Sindoor’

For the success of Operation Sindoor and the success of the army, a special puja (Rudrabhishek) was
performed at Kedarnath Dham on May 8. During the puja, Baba Kedar was prayed to provide more strength to the Indian Army.

Victory Prayers at Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir for Operation Sindoor

To celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, devotees in Pune held a special puja at the famous Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir on May 7. They prayed and gave thanks to honor the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces.

Patriotism Lights Up Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh After Operation Sindoor

After Operation Sindoor by the Indian Air Force and Army, the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh was filled with patriotism on May 7. People raised slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and dedicated the Aarti to the brave soldiers of the country.

Victory Sindoor Offered at Mahakal Temple to Honour Operation Sindoor

Devotees offered sindoor (vermillion) and the Tricolour flag at the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on the morning of May 7 to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. People danced with joy, and the temple priests handed out sweets as everyone congratulated each other on the Indian Army’s achievement.

Victory Prayers at Baba Garib Nath Temple for Operation Sindoor Success

A large number of devotees gathered at the Baba Garib Nath Temple in Muzaffarpur, Bihar following the success of Operation SIndoor. They chanted “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shiv Bol Bam” while offering Jalabhishek to Lord Shiva.

Baba Garib Nath was bathed with milk, curd, ghee, and sugar, decorated with colorful flowers, and worshipped with great devotion. Devotees prayed for the safety of the country’s soldiers and believed that Baba would protect Sanatan Dharma and the nation.
