Since India started a military operation against Pakistan—called Operation Sindoor—following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22nd April 2025, Pakistan has been spreading false information through its media wing, ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations).
On 11th May 2025, the head of ISPR showed a fake and edited video during a press conference. This video was taken from an original Indian Ministry of Defence press briefing, where Wing Commander Vyomika Singh was speaking. But Pakistan changed the video to make it look like India had suffered big losses, and to show their own army as winning.
This is a clear example of Pakistan trying to mislead people with fake news and twist the truth to support its own narrative. Here is the original video, which ISPR edited and misused.
Pakistan Caught Red-Handed: Video Tampered to Twist India’s Operation Sindoor Narrative
When the original video and the fake, edited version were compared, it became clear that DG ISPR of Pakistan had changed the video on purpose to spread false information. One of the biggest lies was removing the word “limited” from this sentence: “Limited damage was sustained to equipment and personnel at Indian Air Force stations at Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur and Bhuj.”
In the edited version, it was changed to: “Damage was sustained…” by removing the word “limited,” Pakistan tried to make it seem like the damage was much worse than it really was. The fake video added new lines that were never in the original statement. For example, it included this sentence:
“Heavy damages to other military stations in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri and Akhnoor sectors continued.” But in the original video: The phrase “heavy damages to other military stations” was about Pakistan’s own air bases. The names Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, and Akhnoor were mentioned much later, in a totally different context.
DG ISPR cut and joined parts of the video to make it look like Indian military stations were badly damaged, which is completely false. This is a clear case of deliberately twisting facts to mislead people. Here is the fake video they used.
Pakistan’s Selective Editing Exposed in Doctored War Briefing
In the edited video shared by Pakistan, many important parts of Wing Commander Singh’s original speech were removed—especially those where India strongly responded to Pakistan’s actions.
Some of the key facts that were cut out include:
Pakistan’s irresponsible attacks on civilian areas in Srinagar, Avantipur, and Udhampur.
India’s quick and well-planned response to these attacks.
The original video clearly stated: “All hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded appropriately.”
It also said: “Indian Armed Forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is reciprocated by the Pakistan military.” But none of these statements were shown in the fake video. Pakistan purposely left them out to make it look like it had the upper hand, while hiding the fact that India had pushed back strongly and responsibly.
Scripted to Mislead: Pakistan’s Attempt to Deceive the World Exposed
Pakistan’s media wing, ISPR, didn’t just report wrongly — it deliberately created a lie. By adding fake claims and removing important facts, ISPR tried to show that India had admitted defeat and suffered heavy losses, which is completely false and clearly goes against India’s official statement.
This isn’t the first time Pakistan has tried to spread lies. In 2022, just after the second anniversary of the Balakot airstrikes, Pakistan released a doctored video of Wing Commander Abhinandan, who had been captured while bravely defending Indian territory. That video had 16 cuts in just 2 minutes and was clearly edited. A similar fake video had also been released earlier.
