In the past day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted around 250 airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, targeting various sites. The focus was on destroying weapons, underground tunnels, explosive devices, and other structures used by terrorist groups. Additionally, instances were uncovered where terrorists were using schools as cover for their activities.
The IDF’s 7th Brigade’s combat team successfully directed a fighter jet to destroy two launchers used by terrorists to launch rockets into central Israel on Tuesday. This action aimed to neutralize the immediate threat posed by these launchers.
Terrorists affiliated with groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad were eliminated during the operations, and several terrorist infrastructures were destroyed. The IDF’s efforts included targeting armed terrorist squads near schools in the northern Gaza Strip.
Specifically, forces from the IDF’s Kfir infantry brigade took action against an armed terrorist squad operating near a school, eliminating the threat. Subsequently, they located and destroyed an underground tunnel and other terrorist structures in the vicinity of the school. In another school in the northern Gaza Strip, weapons and ammunition were discovered and secured by the IDF.
