Punjab and HAR Hockey Academy Triumph in Hockey India Academy Championship 2023

The 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men Academy Championship 2023 had an eventful sixth day as Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy emerged victorious in the Sub-Junior Category, securing a top spot in Pool B and securing a coveted place in the Semi-Finals.

The 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men Academy Championship 2023 had an eventful sixth day as Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy emerged victorious in the Sub-Junior Category, securing a top spot in Pool B and securing a coveted place in the Semi-Finals.

In a thrilling match against Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy dominated with an impressive 10-1 win.

Although Yuvraj Singh of Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy scored the opening goal in the 6th minute, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy quickly took control. Amandeep (14′, 47′, 49′), Sunny (36′, 60′), Charanjeet Singh (8′), Gurjot Singh (11′), Samuel (16′), Rajbhar Sajan (27′), and Varinder Singh (51′) contributed to the 10 goals, securing Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy’s position at the top of Pool B and ensuring their qualification for the Semi-Finals. Despite the loss, Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy also earned a spot in the Semi-Finals by finishing second in their Pool.

As we anticipate the Sub Junior Category Semi-Finals set for December 9th, the match-ups are now confirmed. The 1st Semi-Final will feature HAR Hockey Academy against Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy, while the 2nd Semi-Final will witness Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy facing off against Raja Karan Hockey Academy. The upcoming games promise to be thrilling as these teams compete for a chance to advance to the championship finale. The stakes are high, and the excitement is building for these crucial encounters in the tournament.
