Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized opposition parties for not prioritizing public welfare and relying too much on social media for election victories. He emphasized the importance of engaging with people and winning their hearts, stating that political success requires more than just online presence. PM Modi expressed concern that if certain political parties had focused on serving people instead of pursuing political gains, many citizens wouldn’t face the difficulties and problems they do today.
Addressing the issue of false promises made by the opposition before elections, PM Modi questioned their lack of confidence in the country. He stressed that false promises yield nothing and urged political parties to have faith in the nation’s potential. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of diligent work over decades, stating that guarantees he provides today could have been fulfilled much earlier if the opposition had worked sincerely.
In a veiled reference to welfare schemes announced by the previous government, PM Modi mentioned that his guarantees imply a commitment to fulfilling promises, unlike previous instances where promises were made without certainty. He pointed out the shift from a previous culture of begging for government benefits to the government proactively identifying and extending benefits to the deserving beneficiaries.
PM Modi expressed happiness over the positive response to the ‘Guarantee Wali Gadi’ vehicle as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He praised the formation of ‘Swagat Samitis’ by Panchayats in villages to welcome the yatra and noted that over 1.25 crore people have participated in welcoming the guaranteed vehicle.
During the virtual interaction, PM Modi congratulated a beneficiary of the PM Mudra Yojana, Mukesh, who used a loan of Rs 4.5 lakh to open a shop. The Prime Minister commended his transition from a job-seeker to a job-maker and encouraged him to conduct most of his business transactions through UPI payments.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, aimed at achieving saturation of government flagship schemes, involves connecting with beneficiaries across the country. The program witnessed virtual participation from thousands of beneficiaries, along with Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local-level representatives.
