On Wednesday, Mohan Yadav officially became the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, and other important figures. Alongside Yadav, Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla also took the oath as deputy chief ministers.
Before the oath-taking ceremony, the 58-year-old Mohan Yadav visited a temple in Bhopal, emphasizing the cultural and spiritual aspects of the occasion. Following this, he made a stop at the state BJP office to pay his respects to two significant figures—Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, a founding member of the Jana Sangh, and Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founding ideologue of the BJP.
The BJP had kept everyone in suspense for days before officially announcing Mohan Yadav as their choice for the chief ministerial position. The event marked a significant political transition in Madhya Pradesh, and the presence of top leaders from the BJP highlighted its importance.
