The Odisha transport folks and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) joined hands to tackle a serious issue – people riding two-wheelers without helmets. It’s risky business, and they want to change that. The plan is to give free helmets to those who don’t have proper head protection. The Transport Department and NCC in Odisha are working together on this noble cause.

The big day starts with a helmet giveaway event. The head honcho and NCC cadets will personally hand out helmets to two-wheeler riders who need them. It’s not just about giving out helmets; it’s a way to show how important it is to wear them. They’re serious about making the roads safer.

After the helmet giveaway, NCC cadets hit the road with a rally. They’re armed with signs that carry important messages about road safety. The goal is to get the word out and remind everyone to follow traffic rules. It’s not just a march; it’s a visual display to make people think twice about being responsible on the road.

Colonel Sagar K. Mohanty, the NCC Director in Odisha, is all for it. He says road safety is everyone’s job, and partnerships like these can really make a difference. Giving away helmets and raising awareness through rallies is a powerful combo to drive home the message of safety.

The Additional Director of Training for Odisha’s NCC emphasizes the role of cadets in helping out. They’re not just disciplined folks; they’re leaders who want to do good in their community. This road safety campaign fits perfectly with what they’re about. They’re proud to be part of something so important.

This whole effort is about making the roads safer in Odisha. The Transport Department and NCC are teaming up, bringing their skills and dedication to make a real impact. It’s not just about giving away helmets; it’s about changing how people think about safety on the roads.
