Mumbai Khiladis are getting all set for the second season of Ultimate Kho Kho. They are currently at a training camp in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, at the Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium. Coach Vikas Suryavanshi is guiding the 26-member squad through intensive training, making sure they are ready for the season starting on December 24.
The team is feeling confident after a successful draft, where they focused on bringing in young talent and keeping some top players from the previous season. Mumbai Khiladis’ owner, Punit Balan, expressed confidence in the team’s training efforts and thanked the fans for their support.
To help the players grow, Mumbai Khiladis have taken various steps. They have a strength and conditioning coach to keep an eye on the players’ fitness, along with physios to ensure good recovery. Players also engage in other sports like swimming and badminton for recreation. A psychologist is part of the team to focus on the players’ mental well-being.
The 10-day training camp started on December 10 and will continue until December 20. After the camp, the players will be all set to face Telugu Yoddhas in their first match on December 24. Coach Vikas Suryavanshi mentioned that they are not only working on individual skills but also building strong team bonds. The overall fitness of the players is a key focus for success in the upcoming tournament.
