Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh recently went to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple to offer prayers. He performed rituals and wished for the well-being of the people of Uttar Pradesh, all part of a two-day visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the city. Yogi Adityanath, accompanied by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State Ravi Shankar Jaiswal, visited Kashi Vishwanath Dham, worshipped, and departed from the temple.
CM Yogi also attended the inauguration of Swarved Mahamandir at Umaraha with PM Modi. The city is on high alert due to increased VVIP movement. During the inauguration, PM Modi spoke about India’s cultural symbols, emphasizing the need for their reconstruction after independence. He highlighted the importance of respecting cultural identity for a stronger sense of unity and self-respect within the country.
The Prime Minister discussed the significance of Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, as a city that contributed immensely to India’s art, knowledge, and research. He praised the city for fostering development, modern facilities, cleanliness, and positive change. PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Varanasi, dedicating and laying the foundation stone for various development projects totaling around Rs. 19,150 crore. He will also participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Sewapuri and witness live sports events as part of Kashi Sansad Khel Pratiyogita 2023.
The official release highlighted PM Modi’s special focus on transforming Varanasi’s landscape and improving the quality of life in the region over the last nine years.
