A BJP fact-finding team, including women MPs Aprajita Sarangi, Sunita Duggal, Ranjeeta Koli, Locket Chatterjee, and BJP National Secretary Asha Lakra, visited Belagavi to investigate the incident. They gathered information from the victim and the police to prepare a comprehensive report.

The incident in Belagavi involved a 42-year-old woman who was subjected to a horrifying attack—she was stripped, paraded, and assaulted. This brutal act occurred after her son eloped with a woman. The fact-finding committee condemned the incident, and seven people have been arrested in connection with the crime.
