Mauritius Member of Parliament (MP) Mahend Gungapersad, currently visiting Bharat, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing Ayodhya back into the limelight. Gungapersad, an MP for the Labour Party in Mauritius, commended PM Modi’s efforts in facilitating the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, stating that only Modi could have accomplished such a significant feat.
Speaking on behalf of the Hindu community in Mauritius, Gungapersad conveyed immense pride and happiness, emphasizing the symbolic importance of the Ram Mandir being built at the birthplace of Lord Ram. He credited PM Modi for the attention Ayodhya has received and expressed admiration for the meticulous construction of the temple.
Gungapersad also lauded PM Modi’s impact on the education sector, acknowledging the positive transformations that have taken place under his leadership. He highlighted the growth and progress in schools and universities, attributing it to Modi’s visionary educational policies. The MP congratulated Modi for shaping a “New India” through these initiatives.
Describing PM Modi as a “charismatic leader,” Gungapersad praised him for transforming India’s destiny and global image. He emphasized Modi’s unique leadership style and the positive changes witnessed during his tenure, stating that people now look up to India with admiration and respect.
Expressing confidence in India’s bright future under Modi’s leadership, Gungapersad asserted that the Prime Minister’s vision has played a pivotal role in the country’s development. He acknowledged the changing perceptions of India globally, with many countries expressing a desire to strengthen ties and befriend the nation, attributing this positive shift to Modi’s leadership.
Touching upon the India-Mauritius relationship, Gungapersad stated that under Modi’s tenure, the ties between the two countries are being further strengthened. He expressed gratitude to PM Modi for fostering a strong relationship between Mauritius and India, noting the positive impact on diplomatic and cultural connections.
In a closing statement, Gungapersad echoed the sentiment “Modi hai toh mumkin hai” (With Modi, it is possible), emphasizing the belief that Modi’s leadership has made significant achievements attainable. The news comes as Ayodhya prepares for a grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir, scheduled to take place over seven days starting on January 16. The ceremony will include various rituals and culminate in the consecration of the deity on January 22.
