In a significant move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled plans to broadcast the grand consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya live at the booth level across the country. The much-anticipated event is scheduled for January 22, 2024. According to party sources, BJP workers are tasked with setting up large screens to enable the live telecast of the Shri Ram Consecration at the booth level.
The initiative is aimed at providing an opportunity for the common people to witness the consecration of Shri Ram Lala. By setting up screens at the grassroots level, the general public can have darshan of Shri Ram Lala and be part of the historic consecration ceremony.
Additionally, BJP workers are being encouraged to engage in social work on a personal level. They have the option to distribute blankets, organize community feasts (‘bhandar’), or contribute through donations of food or fruits to help those in need. This dual approach emphasizes both spiritual engagement and community service.
The consecration ceremony is set to be graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. The event has garnered significant attention, with several Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs) from Bharat and abroad receiving invitations to participate in the auspicious occasion in Ayodhya.
Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla, the infant Lord Ram, will commence on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will be performing the main rituals of the consecration ceremony on January 22. The entire period from January 14 to January 22 will be marked as the Amrit Mahotsav.
Arrangements and Celebrations in Ayodhya
To accommodate the anticipated influx of devotees, several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust has announced arrangements for 10,000-15,000 people, ensuring that the grand consecration is a spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.
As part of the celebrations, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will be organized, feeding thousands of devotees. Local authorities are actively preparing for the surge in visitors around the grand ceremony, implementing enhanced security measures and logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and joyous celebration during the Amrit Mahotsav in Ayodhya.
