In a recent development, a case of fraud has been registered against a jail guard named Vishal Bunkar at Ashok Nagar jail in MG Road police station, Indore. The accusation revolves around the guard allegedly hiding crucial information about his previous records during the recruitment process.
According to MG Road police station in-charge Vijay Singh Sisodia, the case was filed after it was discovered that Vishal Bunkar had failed to disclose his dismissal from the 14th battalion in Gwalior, where he was previously stationed. The accused guard was suspended from his duties in Gwalior, leading to the subsequent filing of the case against him in Indore.
The complaint against Bunkar highlights the omission of vital details in the affidavit submitted by him at the time of his posting in the Ashok Nagar jail department back in 2019. It has been alleged that he intentionally neglected to mention his suspension, which is now the focal point of the legal action against him.
Vijay Singh Sisodia further emphasized that the case has been registered under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). This section deals with offenses related to cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property. The authorities are now set to investigate the matter thoroughly to determine the extent of the fraud and the potential consequences for the accused jail guard.
The incident raises concerns about the transparency and honesty in the recruitment process within the prison system, highlighting the need for stringent measures to ensure that individuals with questionable backgrounds are not entrusted with crucial responsibilities. As the case unfolds, the legal proceedings will shed light on the details surrounding Vishal Bunkar’s alleged fraudulent actions and the impact on his position as a jail guard.
