In a significant development, the sanctum or Garbhagriha door at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, constructed by Anuradha Timber International, has been successfully installed. Anuradha Timber International, known as one of the oldest woodwork manufacturing units in the city, played a pivotal role in crafting all the doors within the temple. Sarath Babu, the Managing Partner at Anuradha Timber International, expressed his joy, stating, “Today we have installed the Garbhagriha door at Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir at Ayodhya. With this, we have completed the installation of all doors inside the Temple.”
Earlier, Sharath Babu highlighted the unique opportunity and historical significance of the project, emphasizing that the doors were intricately designed with Indian traditional carvings using the finest quality of Indian teakwood, specifically Balarsha teak. Skilled carvers from Tamil Nadu, selected for their expertise in fine temple carvings, were entrusted with this sacred task. Babu shared that the doors, already dry-fitted, were undergoing gold plating. Once the gold work is completed, they will be permanently installed in the temple.
Anuradha Timber International, renowned for its expertise in intricate traditional carvings, has previously crafted remarkable wooden sculptures, including the world’s largest Sri Maha Vishnu idol in Burma teak. Additionally, they are currently working on the second-largest wooden idol depicting Sri Ram Parivar returning from Lanka to Ayodhya, carved in a detailed 3D form.
Sharath Babu expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I don’t see this as a contract but as God-given work. We are very fortunate that we are getting this opportunity. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and for something like this, we were selected by merit.”
The Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust confirmed the completion of the installation of the Golden Doors in the Garbhgriha of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar, marking the conclusion of the installation of all golden doors on the ground floor of the temple. The development comes as preparations are underway for the Pran Partishta, a significant ceremony expected to be attended by thousands of dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on January 22. Formal procedures for pre-Praan Pratishtha sacraments began on Tuesday and will continue until January 21. The momentous occasion is anticipated to draw people from all sections of society, contributing to the rich historical significance of the temple.
