The beloved legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 92, will be dearly missed during this auspicious occasion.

PM Modi shared a Shloka sung by Lata Mangeshkar, revealing that it was her last recording. The shloka, ‘Shree Ramarpan, Mata Ramo Matpita Ramchandrah,’ holds special significance as the country prepares for the grand temple ceremony.
Born on September 28, 1929, Lata Mangeshkar, known as the ‘Nightingale of India,’ made an unforgettable contribution to the music industry. Her enchanting voice resonated across the nation, earning her numerous awards and honors throughout her illustrious career.
The legendary singer received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award and was honored with the Bharat Ratna in 2001. In 2007, France bestowed upon her the Officer of the National Order of the Legion of Honour, its highest civilian award.
Lata Mangeshkar’s accomplishments include three National Film Awards, 15 Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards, four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards, and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, among others. In 1974, she became the first Indian playback singer to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.
Despite her passing, Lata Mangeshkar’s soulful songs, such as ‘Ajeeb Dastan Hai Ye,’ ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo,’ ‘Lukka Chuppi,’ and ‘Tere Liye,’ continue to resonate in the hearts of millions.
As the nation mourns the absence of the iconic singer, preparations for the Pran Pratishta ceremony of Ram Lalla’s idol in Ayodhya are in full swing. The consecration ceremony, scheduled for January 22, will be graced by Prime Minister Modi as the chief guest, along with other significant political and public figures.
To mark the occasion, Ayodhya will celebrate Amrit Mahotsav from January 14 to January 22, honoring the grandeur of the upcoming temple ceremony.
