Biotech entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, known for his recent endorsement of Donald Trump, is making headlines again. Rumors have circulated that Ramaswamy might be considered as Trump’s running mate, with supporters even chanting “VP, VP” at a rally in New Hampshire.
Recently, the conservative Christian satire website, The Babylon Bee, published a humorous piece suggesting that Trump had offered Ramaswamy a unique role – managing the White House 7-Eleven store. The satire quoted Trump expressing the need to bring convenience back to the West Wing, claiming that under Biden, the White House lacks a 7-Eleven.
While the post went viral, it sparked accusations of racism from some quarters. Critics pointed out the association of 7-Elevens with Indian immigrants, exemplified by the character Apu from The Simpsons. Despite the controversy, Ramaswamy did not appear offended and even shared tweets defending the joke. He reposted a tweet by conservative commentator Matt Walsh, who stated that Ramaswamy was not bothered by the satire.
Ramaswamy not only embraced the joke but actively encouraged it. He reposted a tweet from entrepreneur and author Patrick Bet-David’s visit to a 7-Eleven store, playfully captioning it, “Thank you for coming & don’t forget to grab a Slurpee!” This suggests that Ramaswamy is inviting his followers to join in the light-hearted banter.
Thank you for coming & don’t forget to grab a Slurpee! 😜 https://t.co/JVnT8ooKBS

The founder of Roivant Sciences, labeled a “self-made billionaire” and a “rising star” in the Republican Party, has been actively involved in politics. Ramaswamy authored the book “Woke, Inc.,” criticizing the impact of “woke” culture and corporate activism on American society. Despite withdrawing from the presidential race after a disappointing showing in Iowa, he continues to support Trump’s reelection campaign and remains a prominent figure in conservative circles.
