Ayodhya, January 20, 2024 – With just 48 hours remaining until the much-anticipated ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple on January 22, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has established a camp near the shrine to address any potential contingencies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to perform the rituals surrounding the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla at the temple on the significant day.
Manoj Kumar Sharma, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, NDRF, provided insights into the deployment of three NDRF teams in coordination with local administration and police. One team has been stationed at the ghats, ready to respond to various contingencies. Elaborate security deployments and arrangements have been made throughout the city ahead of the grand ceremony.
Praveen Kumar, IG, Ayodhya, expressed confidence in the security preparations, stating, “We are ensuring close surveillance through drone cameras and human intelligence. All security loopholes are being identified and addressed on priority. We are confident that the mega event on January 22 will pass off without a hitch.”
As visitors continue to arrive for the ‘Pran Pratishtha,’ the Ayodhya Police issued a warning about the rise of cybercrimes related to the event. Cybercriminals are reportedly defrauding people by sending fake QR codes for ‘donations’ in the name of the Ram Temple, promising free prasad, VIP passes, and entry passes to the temple on January 22. To combat this, the police advise citizens to verify any messages or requests and refrain from donating money without proper verification.
A fake website in the name of Ram Mandir, Ayodhya, has also been identified, further emphasizing the need for caution among the public. Authorities urge citizens not to reply to any requests from unknown persons without verification.
The booking for ‘aarti’ passes to the Ram Janmbhoomi temple began in December ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22. Aartis, performed three times a day, have generated passes for devotees. A team of priests, led by Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will officiate the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals on Monday. The idol of Shri Ram Lalla, crafted by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was previously placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, adding to the anticipation of the upcoming event.
