In a remarkable display of national unity, the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya has become a symbol of collective effort, with contributions pouring in from various parts of Bharat. Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, highlighted the diverse support during the consecration ceremony.

The foundation of the temple, embodying the timeless beauty of Indian craftsmanship, is made of marble sourced from Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Essential soil for the sacred construction was specially collected from Chhattisgarh, while granite was contributed from Telangana and Karnataka, and white marble was brought in from Rajasthan.

During his speech, Rai disclosed that the gates of the grand edifice were crafted from wood sourced from Maharashtra’s Balharshah, and the gold plates for the gates were a gift from a diamond trader in Maharashtra. The idol of Ram Lalla, the central deity, was intricately carved by Yogi Raj from Mysuru, with fabrics prepared by Manish Tripathi from Delhi and ornaments gifted by a Lucknow family.

Remarkably, water for the sacred ceremonies came not only from rivers within India but also from 150 countries worldwide. Rai expressed gratitude for the diverse gifts and contributions, showcasing the collaborative spirit of the nation.

Over 100 construction agencies and a workforce exceeding 4,000 people played vital roles in the temple’s construction. Rai emphasized that the foundation, designed by experts from different IITs, is so robust that it is expected to withstand the test of time, requiring no repairs for at least a millennium.

As part of the temple complex, a tourist facility center is being established to accommodate the needs of more than 25,000 pilgrims and devotees at a time. The center will provide facilities for storing mobile phones and footwear, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for visitors.

The grand Ram temple stands not only as a symbol of religious significance but also as a testament to the unity and collaborative efforts of the people from different corners of the country.
