State Leaders Join in the Celebrations: Earlier in the day, leaders from various states participated in the Republic Day festivities. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP National President, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unfurled the national flag, reinforcing the unity and diversity of the nation.
PM Modi’s Greetings: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his customary greeting, extended best wishes to the nation on the 75th Republic Day. On social media platform X, he wrote, “Best wishes on the special occasion of the 75th Republic Day. Jai Hind!”
President to Lead Grand Celebrations: President Droupadi Murmu will lead the country in the grand celebrations, marking the journey of Amrit Kaal post the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’ The parade, showcasing Viksit Bharat’s cultural diversity, ‘Aatmanirbhar’ military prowess, and growing Nari Shakti, will have French President Emmanuel Macron as the Chief Guest.
Parade Highlights: This year’s Republic Day parade, based on the themes of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka,’ promises a spectacular display of the nation’s defense forces. With around 13,000 special guests participating, the parade aims to encourage Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) in the national festival.
Event Schedule: The Republic Day parade, set to commence at 10:30 am, will run for approximately 90 minutes. The ceremonial proceedings will kick off with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the National War Memorial, where he will lead the nation in paying solemn tributes to the fallen heroes by laying a wreath.
