These initiatives aim to augment rail connectivity, improve transportation efficiency, and stimulate economic growth in various regions. The projects will extend the existing network of Bharatiya Railways by 1020 kilometers, providing employment opportunities for approximately 3 crore man-days to residents of the respective states.
The proposed routes encompass various regions, including Ajmer-Chanderiya and Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, Luni-Samdari-Bhildi in Gujarat and Rajasthan, Agthori-Kamakhya in Assam with a new Rail cum Road Bridge, Lumding-Furkating in Assam and Nagaland, and Motumari-Vishnupuram in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh.
These projects are a manifestation of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan for multi-model connectivity, emphasizing integrated planning to facilitate seamless movement of people, goods, and services across the nation.
The multi-tracking projects are anticipated to address existing transportation bottlenecks, enhance railway capacity, and facilitate smoother movement of goods and passengers. Additionally, they are expected to alleviate congestion on crucial routes, thereby improving overall transportation efficiency.
Furthermore, the approval of these projects underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure and fostering economic development across diverse regions. By investing in railway modernization and expansion, the government aims to catalyze growth, create employment opportunities, and enhance connectivity for citizens across the country.
The implementation of these projects is poised to bring about transformative changes in the transportation landscape, fostering economic progress and bolstering India’s position as a dynamic and well-connected nation on the global stage.
