#SandeshkhaliHorror: Mamata Sides Sheikh Shahjahan | NCSC Demands President Rule In West Bengal
Amid violence and political tension in West Bengal’s Sandeshkhali, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes on Friday recommended the President's Rule in the state, mentioning that the criminals have joined hands with Mamata’s government. The West Bengal Police allegedly stopped the BJP’s fact-finding committee headed to protests-rocked Sandeshkhali midway in Rampur village on Friday, prompting its members to sit on the road in protest for hours. Even Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was stopped from entering the village, after which he sat on dharna. A day earlier, State leader of the opposition Suvendu Adhikari announced that he would move Calcutta HC after being barred from visiting Sandeshkhali for the second time on Thursday.
