Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce verbal assault on the Opposition during the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national convention in New Delhi on Sunday. Shah accused leaders of the INDIA bloc of harboring ambitions for their children to assume prominent roles within their parties.
According to Shah, the objectives of various leaders within the INDIA alliance are centered around familial succession in politics. He highlighted examples such as Sonia Gandhi’s desire to see Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister, Pawar aiming for his daughter to become Chief Minister, and similar aspirations from leaders like Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Lalu Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray, and Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Shah questioned the sincerity of leaders who prioritize family succession over public welfare, suggesting that such motivations are detrimental to the interests of the poor and marginalized communities.

The Home Minister also criticized the Congress party for allegedly declining an invitation to the Ram temple consecration ceremony, attributing this decision to what he termed as the party’s “appeasement politics.” Shah accused the INDIA bloc, particularly the Congress, of undermining democracy in India by engaging in corruption, nepotism, appeasement, and caste-based politics.
Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with bringing about a significant transformation in Bharat over the past decade, emphasizing the eradication of corruption, nepotism, appeasement, and casteism under Modi’s leadership.

Highlighting achievements under the Modi government, Shah claimed that marginalized communities, including Dalits, Adivasis, and backward classes, have been empowered and given their due representation, breaking away from traditional vote bank politics.
The Home Minister also expressed optimism regarding the country’s security situation, asserting that terrorism and Naxalism are on the decline and will be eradicated entirely during the third term of the Modi government.
In conclusion, Amit Shah’s remarks at the BJP national convention underscored the party’s commitment to challenging the INDIA bloc’s leadership while highlighting its own achievements and vision for the country’s future.
