Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated a series of railway infrastructure projects aimed at transforming Bharat’s transportation network. Speaking at the launch event on Monday, PM Modi emphasized that these projects would primarily benefit the country’s youth, offering them significant employment opportunities. He stressed that a developed Bharat, as envisioned by his government, aligns with the aspirations of its youth, who have the right to shape the nation’s future.
The foundation stone has been laid for revitalizing over 550 railway stations across more than 300 districts in 27 states. Among these, the Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated during the event, garnered special praise from the Prime Minister for its impressive design and facilities. Additionally, more than 1,500 projects including roads, overbridges, and underpasses, valued at Rs 40,000 crores, are set to commence simultaneously, further enhancing the country’s infrastructure.
PM Modi expressed confidence in securing a third term in office, citing the remarkable pace at which his government has initiated these projects. He underscored the inclusive nature of the initiatives, ensuring that the needs of all sections of society, including the differently-abled and the elderly, are addressed comprehensively.
The Prime Minister highlighted the shift in Bharat’s mindset from modest aspirations to ambitious goals. He emphasized the country’s commitment to dreaming big and achieving these aspirations swiftly, marking a significant departure from its past approach.
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw extended gratitude to PM Modi for spearheading these transformative projects, pledging to revolutionize the railway industry. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which encompasses the redevelopment of 553 railway stations, is set to integrate these stations into vibrant city centers, enhancing connectivity and urban development.
The redevelopment of these stations, spread across various states and Union Territories, represents a significant investment of over Rs 19,000 crores. These stations will serve as hubs for economic activity and community engagement, fostering growth and prosperity in their respective regions.
In addition to railway projects, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 1,500 road bridges and underpasses, further bolstering the country’s transportation infrastructure. These initiatives collectively underscore the government’s commitment to accelerating Bharat’s progress and realizing the aspirations of its citizens.
