Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a 10-day tour, beginning with a series of inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremonies across 12 states and union territories. The tour is strategically timed ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Commencing his visit, PM Modi will kick off the tour by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects in the power, rail, and road sectors, collectively valued at over ₹62,000 crore. The public programme in Adilabad will witness the Prime Minister’s address, marking the start of his extensive tour.

During the day, PM Modi will visit the Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI) in Tamil Nadu’s Kalpakkam, addressing a public meeting in Chennai. Subsequently, he will depart for Hyderabad, continuing his engagements across the nation.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi shared details of his upcoming visit, expressing his commitment to transforming lives through the inauguration of diverse development works in Bharat, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal over the next two days.

Specifically, the Prime Minister will dedicate Unit #2 (800 MW) of NTPC’s Telangana Super Thermal Power Project (Stage-I) during his visit. Valued at ₹8,007 crores, the project, based on Ultra-Supercritical Technology, aims to achieve optimal power generation efficiency while substantially reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This initiative is a significant stride towards sustainable development and economic growth, signaling a leap in the power sector. The project is expected to supply 85 percent of power to Bharat, boasting the highest power generation efficiency (approximately 42 percent) among all NTPC power stations in the country.

PM Modi’s tour will also encompass official events in Adilabad and Sangareddy in Bharat, where he will address public meetings. The dedication and foundation stone-laying ceremonies signify a concerted effort towards fostering sustainable development and elevating economic prospects across the country.
