Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was greeted by a massive crowd during a grand roadshow organized from Tyagi Road in Dehradun to Bannu School Ground under the banner of ‘Nari Shakti Mahotsav’. The event saw thousands of people lining the streets to welcome the Chief Minister.
Visuals from the roadshow depicted a scene of jubilation, with people showering flowers and chanting slogans in support of CM Dhami and the BJP. In response, the Chief Minister reciprocated the warmth by showering flowers on the crowd and waving at them enthusiastically.
Earlier in the day, CM Dhami expressed his delight over the approval from the Railway Ministry for the operation of a new weekly train service between Tanakpur and Dehradun. He extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, highlighting the convenience this new service would bring to the people’s transportation needs.
The Chief Minister’s office issued a statement quoting Dhami’s happiness regarding the Railway Ministry’s approval. He emphasized the significance of this new train service in easing transportation challenges for the people of Uttarakhand.
Furthermore, CM Dhami has been proactive in pushing forward developmental agendas. He instructed officials to present a proposal for implementing a service sector policy in the state during the upcoming cabinet meeting. This move aims to boost the state’s service sector and enhance opportunities for economic growth.
In a recent board meeting of the Uttarakhand Investment and Infrastructure Development Board (UIIDB), CM Dhami emphasized expediting ongoing schemes under the board’s purview. He stressed initiating the appointment process for sanctioned posts to ensure smooth functioning. Additionally, Dhami urged for prompt decision-making at the departmental level to accelerate project execution, excluding policy matters, to ensure timely completion of projects.
