On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet sanctioned two new corridors as part of Delhi Metro’s Phase-IV project: one from Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block and the other from Inderlok to Indraprastha.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur informed about the same.
The total estimated cost for these two corridors is Rs 8,399 crore, with funding to be provided by the Union and Delhi governments, as well as international funding agencies.
Together, these corridors will span 20.762 in length.
The Inderlok- Indraprastha corridor will extend the Green Line, facilitating interchanges with the Red, Yellow, Airport Line, Magenta, Violet, and Blue Lines. Meanwhile, the Lajpat Nagar – Saket G Block corridor will link the Silver, Magenta, Pink, and Violet Lines.
