India is all set to get its 3rd aircraft carrier very soon in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), which will be domestically manufactured, posing a threat to China’s rising presence in the region. While Indian defense experts argue that the incorporation of a third domestically manufactured aircraft carrier into its naval arsenal is imperative for the Indian Navy, it will also bolster its aspirations to assert dominance in global maritime domains. Consequently, acquiring a third aircraft carrier would symbolize India’s strength in the Indian Ocean, particularly to skillfully tackle the Chinese military.
