Renowned spiritual guru and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, has been discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. He underwent emergency brain surgery following a critical health episode.
Last Wednesday, Sadhguru, aged 66, was admitted to the hospital due to a decline in consciousness and weakness in his left leg, caused by life-threatening bleeding in his brain. An urgent surgical procedure was performed by a team of doctors to address the issue.
Following the surgery, Sadhguru’s condition has shown significant improvement, with doctors expressing satisfaction with his recovery. Despite the ordeal, he has maintained his characteristic spirit, sharp mind, and sense of humor, according to Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Group.
The Isha Foundation, in a statement, shared that Sadhguru’s recovery is progressing steadily and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and love from his followers and well-wishers.
The surgical team, led by Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S Chatterjee, successfully relieved the bleeding, and Sadhguru was later removed from the ventilator as he continued to recuperate.
During his hospital stay, Sadhguru penned a heartfelt poem titled “Lost Me in You,” reflecting on his spiritual journey and profound connection with the divine.
Leaders from various spheres, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, extended their wishes for Sadhguru’s speedy recovery.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is renowned for his advocacy on environmental conservation through campaigns like ‘Save Soil’ and ‘Rally for Rivers,’ emphasizing the importance of preserving nature for future generations.
The discharge of Sadhguru from the hospital marks a significant milestone in his recovery journey, bringing relief to millions of his followers worldwide.
