Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a large public gathering in Chikkaballapura, Karnataka, expressed his determination to overcome challenges posed by powerful forces both within Bharat and abroad aiming to remove him from power.
Speaking passionately, he emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment and protection, citing their support as crucial in facing these challenges.
Highlighting his government’s focus on women’s welfare, PM Modi underscored initiatives such as supporting self-help groups and creating opportunities for economic empowerment, including the establishment of “Lakhpati Didis.”
He reiterated his commitment to serving mothers, sisters, and daughters, stating that their well-being remains a top priority for his administration.
Ahead of upcoming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi praised JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, emphasizing his energy and dedication at the age of 90. This gesture aimed to garner support from the JD(S) and its followers, as the party had recently joined the NDA alliance.
Regarding the political landscape, PM Modi criticized the opposition alliance, particularly the INDIA bloc, for lacking leadership and vision for the nation’s future.
He accused them of a history marred by corruption scandals, contrasting it with the achievements and integrity of his own government.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came in the wake of the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections, where he claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and its vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ had gained significant momentum. He expressed confidence in securing favorable results in subsequent phases of the elections.
Former Minister K Sudhakar, the BJP candidate from Chikkaballapur, and M Mallesh Babu, the JD(S) candidate from the neighboring Kolar constituency, featured prominently in PM Modi’s address, signaling the unity of the NDA alliance in Karnataka.
Karnataka, a key battleground state, is set to vote in two phases, with the southern constituencies scheduled for polling on April 26 and the northern ones on May 7. Prime Minister Modi’s visit and statements aimed to galvanize support for the NDA ahead of these crucial electoral contests.
