The spacecraft’s power supply failed just two hours after launch, resulting in loss of contact with Earth. However, scientists managed to confirm Ranger-4’s lunar landing by sending sound waves to its onboard radio transmitter. Let us tell you that before America, the former Soviet Union had already created history in 1959 by landing its space rocket on the surface of the Moon.
