President Droupadi Murmu visited Ayodhya for the first time after the construction of the Ram Temple. She performed rituals and offered prayers at various sacred sites, including the Sarayu River and the Hanuman Garhi temple.
The President was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel during her visit.
At the Sarayu River, President Murmu performed the Sarayu Pujan and aarti, offering milk and prayers to the sacred river. This gesture symbolizes reverence and devotion towards the river, an integral part of Hindu spirituality.
Following this, she offered prayers at the Hanuman Garhi temple, seeking blessings for the well-being and prosperity of the country.
Later in the day, President Murmu visited the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This visit holds significant cultural and religious significance as it marks her first pilgrimage to the temple since its inauguration.
The President participated in prayers and paid homage to Lord Ram, whose idol is enshrined in the main sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
The Ram Temple, constructed in traditional Nagara style, stands as a monumental symbol of faith and devotion for millions of Hindus worldwide. Spanning 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height, the temple is adorned with intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses.
It is supported by 392 pillars and 44 doors, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and architectural splendor.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla, held on January 22, marked a historic moment in India’s religious landscape. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Vedic rituals during the ceremony, attended by representatives of various spiritual and religious sects across the country.
The temple continues to attract devotees from diverse backgrounds, including representatives of tribal communities, who gather to seek blessings and spiritual solace.
Since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Ayodhya has witnessed a surge in the number of devotees visiting the holy site. Many pilgrims flock to the Hanumangarhi Ram Temple daily, demonstrating a growing fervor and reverence for Lord Ram.
