Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking to the media during his campaign in Bihar, praised the governance model presented by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), emphasizing its wide acceptance across the country.
He contrasted it with the performances of other parties, particularly highlighting the Congress, the Left, and their coalitions, which he suggested had fallen short in comparison to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s governance under his leadership.
During a vibrant roadshow in Patna, PM Modi was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd as he traversed through the city atop a chariot-modeled vehicle. The 2.5-kilometer procession, commencing from Bhattacharya Road-Pirmuhani crossing and concluding near Gandhi Maidan at Udyog Bhavan, showcased significant public support.
Accompanying PM Modi were Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and BJP candidate from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, Ravi Shankar Prasad. The rally’s resonance demonstrated the party’s strong presence and momentum in the state.

PM Modi’s itinerary includes a visit to Takht Harmandir, a revered Sikh shrine in the old city area, followed by addresses at three election rallies in Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Saran on Monday.
These engagements underscore the BJP’s concerted effort to consolidate support ahead of the Bihar polls.
Bihar, with 40 seats undergoing polls in seven phases, remains a crucial battleground. In the 2019 elections, the BJP-led NDA secured an overwhelming victory, claiming 39 out of 40 seats, while the Congress managed only one. The failure of Lalu Yadav’s RJD to secure a single seat signaled a significant political shift in the state.
The opposition coalition, Mahagathbandhan, comprising the RJD, Congress, and Left parties, has allocated seats for the upcoming polls.
The RJD, the coalition’s largest constituent, will contest 26 seats, while the Congress will vie for nine. The CPI(ML) will contest three seats, with the CPI and CPI(M) each contesting one.
Within the NDA, the BJP and JD(U) will contest 17 and 16 seats, respectively. Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has secured five seats, while Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha will contest one seat each.
PM Modi’s fervent campaigning underscores the BJP’s determination to maintain its electoral dominance in Bihar. With the polls poised to shape the state’s political landscape, all eyes are on the unfolding dynamics as parties intensify their efforts to woo voters.
