In a recent election rally held in Bihar’s Hajipur on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered praise upon Chirag Paswan, the Chief of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and the party’s candidate from the Hajipur seat.
PM Modi hailed Chirag as a successful Member of Parliament (MP) and a true representative of Bihar. He urged voters to support Chirag, stating that their votes would directly contribute to his account. In addition, PM Modi appealed to voters to grant Chirag a larger mandate than his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, had received.

PM Modi emphasized that his visit to Hajipur was not merely to ensure Chirag Paswan’s victory but to honor the legacy of Ram Vilas Paswan, whom he regarded as a close friend and a champion of social justice. He admired Chirag’s humility, noting that despite being the son of a prominent leader, Chirag exhibited no arrogance. PM Modi credited Chirag’s mother for instilling such values in him.

Reflecting on his interactions with Chirag, PM Modi commended the MP’s dedication and passion for learning, evident from his active participation in parliamentary proceedings. He reiterated his call for voters to elect Chirag with a larger mandate than his father, emphasizing that it would bring peace to Ram Vilas Paswan’s soul.
In response to PM Modi’s praise, Chirag Paswan expressed gratitude, stating that the Prime Minister’s words were deeply meaningful to him and his family. He acknowledged the emotional impact of PM Modi’s endorsement, mentioning that his father had often expressed similar sentiments about him.
Chirag emphasized that PM Modi’s trust in the youth of Bihar would serve as a significant strength in the ongoing elections.
Notably, Chirag Paswan has frequently referred to himself as PM Modi’s ‘Hanuman’, symbolizing his unwavering loyalty to the Prime Minister.
Despite temporary disagreements and a split within his party from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Chirag has consistently praised PM Modi’s leadership and positioned himself as a staunch supporter. His party, LJP (Ram Vilas), is contesting in five Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
