On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off his campaign in Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh before moving on to AAP-governed Punjab later in the day. In Himachal Pradesh, PM Modi is set to hold two public meetings, one in Shimla and another in Mandi. Following this, he will address rallies in Gurdaspur and Jalandhar in Punjab.
In Mandi, the BJP has nominated Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who will face off against Congress candidate and minister Vikramaditya Singh. For the Shimla seat, the BJP has re-nominated its incumbent MP Suresh Kumar Kashyap.
In Punjab, the party has made notable changes, with Dinesh Singh replacing sitting MP Sunny Deol in Gurdaspur, and Sushil Kumar Rinku running in Jalandhar. The seventh phase will see elections for all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh and 13 in Punjab. Additionally, six Assembly bypolls in Himachal Pradesh will also take place on June
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are scheduled to campaign in Jharkhand’s Godda constituency on Friday. The constituency is currently represented by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who is contesting against Congress’s Pradeep Yadav.
Amit Shah will start his day with a public meeting in Arrah, supporting BJP candidate and Union Minister R K Singh, before heading to Jharkhand. In Jharkhand, Shah will address meetings in Dumka and then in Godda.
Congress’s Kharge will begin his day with a press conference in Deoghar, within the Godda constituency, followed by a public meeting there.
As the final phase of the elections approaches, the political landscape remains highly dynamic, with leaders across parties intensifying their efforts to secure voter support.
