Polling is scheduled to be held across 58 Lok Sabha constituencies covering six states and two union territories in the sixth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha election 2024, which will take place on Saturday, May 25. Campaigning for the 5th phase ended on Saturday.
The following states are gearing up for elections in the sixth phase:-

Bihar – 8
Jammu and Kashmir – 1
Jharkhand – 4
Odisha – 6
Uttar Pradesh – 14
West Bengal – 8
Haryana – 10
The voting process will commence at 7 am on Saturday, concluding at 5 pm, and an extra hour will be provided as a buffer period for voters present in the voting line while the declaration of results is scheduled for June 4th
Meanwhile, all liquor stores in Delhi, Gurugram, and Faridabad will be closed until 6 pm on Saturday, May 25, starting from 6 pm on Thursday, May 23, as ‘dry days’ are being observed due to Phase 6 voting in the general election
In this phase, 889 candidates will contest, with key candidates being Bansuri Swaraj, Somnath Bharti, Suvendhu Adhikari, Maneka Gandhi, Mehbooba Mufti, and Manoj Tiwari. In phase 6 Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency will also go into polls after the EC revised the polling date for the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat from May 7 to May 25 due to logistical, communication, and natural barriers related to connectivity
Meanwhile, the fifth phase of elections witnessed over 60% polling across 49 constituencies in six states and two Union territories. West Bengal registered the highest polling at 74.7%. Now, attention turns to the sixth phase, with anticipation building for the voter turnout figures. While PM Modi-led NDA is eyeing a third term with its “Abki Baar 400 Paar” motto, the INDI bloc on the other hand is seeking to gain power after facing a massive defeat in the 2014 and 2019 elections.
