Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently emphasized that the Taj Mahal is not the only tourist attraction in Bharat. In an interview with IANS, he encouraged tourists to explore the diverse and scenic locations across the country to get a complete experience of Bharat.
PM Modi highlighted that merely visiting the Taj Mahal does not offer a full understanding of India. He stressed that there are many beautiful and unique destinations throughout the nation. “There is huge potential in the country, and there are multiple destinations to explore,” he said.
Showcasing Bharat’s Rich Heritage Through G20 Summits
The Prime Minister also discussed how his government has worked to reshape Bharat’s image on the global stage. A key strategy was hosting G20 Summits in various regions rather than just in Delhi.

This approach aimed to showcase the country’s diversity. “We organized G20 Summits across the length and breadth of the country,” PM Modi explained, “to make the world aware that Delhi alone doesn’t represent the country.”
Boost in Tourism
Hosting the G20 Summit has significantly increased tourism in Bharat. PM Modi mentioned that over 1 lakh policymakers from around the world attended more than 200 summits across the nation. These visitors not only experienced Bharat’s beauty firsthand but also shared their positive experiences with their families and associates globally.
In the interview, PM Modi also addressed the issue of corruption, criticizing those who oppose the crackdown on major corruption networks. He singled out the ‘Khan Market gang’ for allegedly creating false narratives to protect corrupt individuals. He pointed out the irony that those who previously demanded action against corruption are now complaining about the crackdown.
PM Modi emphasized that actions against corrupt individuals are based on facts and evidence, not perception. He recalled that before the 2019 elections, his government was questioned about its stance on corruption. The government’s response was that independent agencies would act based on evidence. “Today, big players are being caught and brought to justice,” he noted.
Role of Independent Agencies
The Prime Minister clarified that it is the independent investigative agencies that apprehend the accused, and the judiciary decides on their conviction or trial. “The Prime Minister has no role in this,” he said, dismissing the false narratives propagated by the ‘Khan Market gang’.
Through these efforts, PM Modi aims to not only highlight Bharat’s vast and diverse tourist destinations but also strengthen the nation’s integrity by combating corruption effectively.
