Amid much cacophony in the aftermath of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, two of the winning leaders were most sought after by the ones who never cease to look for chaos. One of them is TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. Putting a damper on such plans, Naidu has explicitly affirmed his party’s alliance to the BJP-led NDA. He said that he firmly stands with the saffron party, while a new government is formed at the Centre.
In a press conference Naidu said, The mandate is clear, our manifesto was clear. Today we reap the benefits of our work in the past five years. I thank Pawan Kalyan for joining us in this bid to protect democracy, the BJP and Janasena joined this alliance as equals. It was to save democracy,” said Naidu.
Shedding light on his day’s plans, Naidu said, “Today, I am heading to Delhi. After the completion of the election, this is my first press meet before going to Delhi. I am very glad for the support of the voters. Ups and downs are common in politics. Many political leaders and parties have been ousted in history. This is a historic election. Even voters from abroad have returned to their hometowns to exercise their votes.”
The TDP, helmed by the alliance with BJP, Jana Sena swept through Andhra Pradesh bringing the saffron wave in the state, winning 164 of the total 175 seats. TDP also won 16 Lok Sabha seats.
Naidu also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the ‘victory in the Lok Sabha polls and in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.’ TDP, Janasena and BJP are part of the NDA in the southern state, which took on the YSRCP led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I congratulate you on the NDA’s victory in the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Our people of Andhra Pradesh have blessed us with a remarkable mandate,” said Naidu in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
