On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recently elected leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), paid visits to veteran BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi at their residences. These meetings hold significance as PM Modi is gearing up to form his third successive government following the NDA’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

During his visit, PM Modi warmly greeted Lal Krishna Advani, a stalwart of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and exchanged pleasantries. He also extended his regards to senior party leader Murli Manohar Joshi, symbolizing the respect for their contributions to the party and the country.

As a gesture of appreciation and respect, Prime Minister Modi presented bouquets to both veteran BJP leaders during his visits. These interactions reflect the camaraderie and unity within the party as it prepares to embark on another term in governance.

The NDA, led by the BJP, secured a third successive majority in the Lok Sabha elections, with a remarkable victory. The BJP alone clinched 240 seats, contributing significantly to the NDA’s total of 293 seats in the lower house of Parliament.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi was elected as the Leader of the NDA during a meeting of constituents held at ‘Samvidhan Bhavan’, further solidifying his position within the alliance.

Following the formalities within the NDA, the alliance leaders are scheduled to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan to submit their letter of support to President Droupadi Murmu. This step is customary after an election victory, affirming the alliance’s strength and commitment to forming the government.
