Tripura Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha recently chaired a significant meeting to review the outcomes of the Lok Sabha elections and strategise for the upcoming three-tier panchayat polls. The meeting took place at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State office in Agartala’s Krishnanagar.
According to sources, the meeting was conducted to analyse the BJP’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections, where the party secured a landslide victory in both Tripura seats, and to develop a strategy for the upcoming panchayat elections.
The CM, along with BJP State president Rajib Bhattacharya and State general secretary (Organisation) for Assam and Tripura, Ravindra Raju, led the discussions. In the meeting, various MLAs and senior party leaders took part.
“In the meeting, we reviewed the Lok Sabha election results and held important discussions in preparation for the panchayat elections. The Chief Minister emphasized the need to strengthen the party’s organisation and establish closer contact with grassroots-level people,” sources reported.
The strategy for the upcoming panchayat elections was discussed in detail. Party functionaries were urged to be diligent in delivering development projects from both the Central and State governments to all sections of society. The party’s upcoming programs were also outlined and discussed.
State General Secretary Amit Rakshit, Bipin Debbarma, and various MLAs attended the meeting, highlighting the collective effort to prepare for the panchayat polls and ensure continued support for the BJP’s initiatives in Tripura.
