A day after the chilling murder of a 26-year-old man in a shooting rampage at a Burger King outlet in west Delhi, terrifying CCTV footage has surfaced, capturing the moments both before and after the attack.
In the video, one of the two assailants disguised as a diner initiates the attack by firing at Aman Joon, the victim identified from Jhajjar, Haryana.
In a fraction of second, panic ensues as customers and staff scramble to escape, witnessing the hitmen shoot multiple times at point-blank range.
He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, said police, adding that senior officials were at the spot. The man was accompanied by someone who fled the scene when the firing started.
As per the FIR, Aman Joon was targeted with 38 bullets of three different types inside a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden, west Delhi, on Tuesday night.
The woman who came to meet Joon also fled, possibly with his mobile phone. This diversity in bullets strongly suggests the involvement of more than two firearms wielded by the attackers.
Aman’s body was found behind the billing counter, indicating he attempted to escape as the assailants began shooting. Staff at the scene reported the killers appeared to be aged between aged 25 and 30 years old.
The Delhi Police suspects that the conspiracy for the killing of a man in a Rajouri Garden food outlet was hatched by gangster Himanshu Bhau to avenge the murder of a relative of jailed gangster Neeraj Bawana.
The Killing is now being seen as a consequence of an ongoing war between jailed gangsters Neeraj Bawana and Ashok Pradhan.
As per a senior police officer, the Bhau-Bawana gang used the woman, in her 20s, to call Joon at the food joint. As per another police officer, it is believed that Joon had given a tip-off to Ashok Pradhan about the presence of Bawana’s cousin Shakti Singh in Jhajjar in October 2020.
