Tamil Nadu Hooch Tragedy: Death Toll Rises To 47, Many Critical | Three Arrested in Case

Amidst the rise in the death toll from the illicit liquor tragedy in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi district to 47, three key accused Govindaraj, Damodaran, and Vijaya have been arrested in the case, and have been sent to 15 days of judicial custody. The Hooch tragedy in Kallakurichi has also triggered a political spate in the state as a ruckus and chaos were reported in the Tamil Nadu assembly on Friday as the AIADMK legislators sporting black clothes raised slogans inside the House, demanding discussion on the tragedy.
