Actor Suman has requested the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh to declare Tirupati as a ‘temple city’. He believes this designation will help preserve the spirituality of Lord Venkateswara’s abode. Suman expressed this during his recent visit to the Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple.
Suman also shared his hopes for the future of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He emphasized the need to create local employment opportunities. According to Suman, this will enable the youth to stay and work in their hometowns, reducing the need for them to move to bigger cities.
On behalf of the film industry, Suman urged the government to establish decentralized film studios across Andhra Pradesh. These studios would support amateurs in creating short films, television serials, web series, and reality shows.
Suman believes that this initiative would boost the local entertainment industry and provide more opportunities for aspiring filmmakers.
In another development, representatives from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) invited Suman to participate in the upcoming Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. These festivities are scheduled to take place at the Lotus Temple in Tirupati from August 25 to 27. The final day of the event will mark the 128th appearance day of ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupada.
ISKCON’s Public Relations Officer, Leelaparayana Das, mentioned that Prabhupada visited the Tirumala temple as a state guest in 1974.
This year, ISKCON is celebrating the golden jubilee of his visit. The milestone is significant for ISKCON’s Tirupati unit. Suman graciously accepted the invitation to attend the celebrations.
