During the 24th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, India captured the attention of world leaders as it urged the international community to “isolate and expose” countries that support terrorism, provide safe havens, and condone such terrorist activities, in a veiled dig at China and its all-weather ally, Pakistan. Speaking on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stressed that if such nations are left unchecked, terrorism ought to become a major threat, disrupting regional and global peace.
