Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Russia for a two-day visit to attend the 22nd India-Russia Summit and hold crucial discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

PM Modi, who arrived in Russia yesterday, will remain in the country today before flying to Austria later in the evening. Here is the detailed schedule for his second day in Russia.

PM Modi’s Day Begins with Community Event

Yesterday, Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by President Putin in Novo-Ogarevo and hosted for dinner at the Presidential Palace. Today, PM Modi will start his day with a community event, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The agenda also includes restricted talks with President Putin, delegation-level discussions, and an exchange of documents.

9:00 AM – 9:40 AM (11:30 AM – 12:10 PM IST): Community Event
10:30 AM – 10:40 AM (1:00 PM – 1:10 PM IST): Wreath Laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM (1:30 PM – 2:00 PM IST): Visit to Atom Centre with President Putin
12:00 PM onwards (2:30 PM IST onwards): Kremlin Visit, Award Ceremony, Restricted Talks, Delegation-Level Talks, and Exchange of Documents
PM Modi to Depart for Austria This Evening

After completing his scheduled events and discussions, PM Modi will depart for Vienna, Austria. He is expected to arrive at the airport at 7:10 PM (10:40 PM IST) and reach his hotel by 7:25 PM (10:55 PM IST).

Russia Agrees to Release Indian Recruits

In another development, Russia has decided to release all Indians serving in the Russian army following Prime Minister Modi’s intervention during his visit. Sources indicate that the issue was raised during a private dinner between the two leaders. President Putin acknowledged PM Modi’s dedication to the Indian people, to which Modi affirmed, “You are right, I have only one goal – my country, the people of India.”
