The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a statement with respect to the airline service disruptions caused by the Microsoft Global Outage yesterday. The update on the same as per the statement says that the airline systems have started to function normally again.
The statement reads, ‘Since 3 AM in the night, airline systems across airports have started working normally. Flight operations are going smoothly now’. The update also says, ‘There is a backing because of disruptions yesterday, and it is getting cleared gradually. By noon today, we expect all issues to be resolved’.
Meanwhile, millions of Windows users around the world experienced a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error today, causing their systems to suddenly shut down or restart. The issue was triggered by an update to the CrowdStrike ‘Falcon Sensor.’ This error has significantly impacted airlines, banks, stock markets, and other businesses globally.
Airports worldwide reported that their check-in systems were down, forcing them to handle services manually. This has led to delays in flights. All Indian airlines took to X (formerly Twitter) to inform their passengers about the system issues affecting their operations.
