The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024. The results were made available on the official NTA website today, July 20, 2024. The release comes after the Supreme Court’s order on July 18 to expedite the results.
In an impressive turn of events, the Rajkot Centre, specifically the Unit School of Engineering, has emerged as the leader in the number of qualifying students. This centre had a staggering 22,701 students who successfully passed the exam. The success rate here is notably high, with about 85 per cent of these students passing the test.
Among these successful students, the breakdown of scores is remarkable. Twelve students achieved scores of more than 700, while 115 students scored above 650. The number of students scoring more than 600 stands at 259, and 403 students managed to score more than 550. These numbers indicate a strong performance from the Rajkot Centre, setting a new benchmark in NEET UG results.
In comparison, the Vidya Bharati Sikar Centre (Centre No 392349) had a different performance spectrum. Here, eight students scored above 700, and 69 students achieved scores exceeding 650. The number of students scoring more than 600 was 155, and 241 students scored more than 500. The results also show that 83 students from the Sikar test centre and 45 students from the Model School in Rohtak, Haryana, managed to score above 600.
The NEET UG 2024 examination, held on May 5, 2024, saw participation from over 23.33 lakh students across 4,750 centres located in 571 cities worldwide, including 14 international locations. This widespread participation highlights the exam’s significance as a crucial step for students aiming to pursue medical education.
Overall, the release of these results marks a significant milestone for students and institutions alike, showcasing both exceptional performances and areas for improvement in future examinations.
