A terror attack occurred at an Indian Army picket in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri during the early hours of Monday when terrorists opened fire on an Army post.
The incident broke out at around 4 am and injured two people, one jawan and one civilian. The forces launched a massive operation, said the PRO Defence Jammu.
The terrorists were divided into two groups for the attack. One group targeted an Indian Army camp, while the other attacked the residence of Shaurya Chakra awardee Parshotam Kumar.
During the retaliation operation, one of the terrorists was also injured in the exchange of fire. The Indian Army saved the family of a Shaurya Chakra awardee during the attack. Both an Army Jawan and the uncle of the Shaurya Chakra awardee sustained injuries.
